Daniel Day-Lewis is the best actor in the world, hands down. A Producer/Director could put him on a plynth with no props, no other actors/actresses: just Daniel Day-Lewis, lit, on a plynth with a black back-ground and tell him to act out an hours worth of monologue and people (I speak for myself, but assuming others’ opinion would be the same) would listen, with intent unable to tear themselves away from this man’s incredible prescence. He is undoubtedly the best actor who has ever lived. Far, far ahead of Robert De-Niro and Al Pacino et al. They are but mere mortals in comparison to this God-like phenomenon.
