New movie Night at the Museum starring Ben Stiller has been pulled from four screens in London by Cineworld, Odeon, Vue, and Showcase because of Fox’s decision to release the DVD only 97 days after its theatre release.

The Museum DVD will be released on the 2nd April whereas the film opened for general release on the 26th December in the UK, usually there is a 4 months time span before a DVD is released. Last weekend several major chains in Germany also dropped Museum and Eragon after Fox planned an earlier than usual DVD release.
As of January 29, overseas returns of Museum have been $193.7 million 20% of which comes from London alone.
