The London Evening Standard has named new 007 actor Daniel Craig as best actor for his role in casino Royale. This is the first award the 38 year old actor has won for his portrayal as super spy James Bond.
Sacha Baron Cohen, Borat creator won the Peter Sellers award for best comedy.
However, Dame Helen Mirren (The Queen) lost out to Dame Judi Dench (Notes on a Scandal). However The Queen did win awards for its director Stephen Frears, and its screenwriter Peter Morgan.
