Disgraced rock star Gary Glitter has had his 3 year prison sentence for child molestation in Vietnam reduced by 3 months. In March 2006, Gary Glitter, real name Paul Francis Gadd, was convicted of abusing two girls ages 10 and 11, he will now be released in August 2008.
The reduction comes as part of the Vietnamese Lunar New Year jail amnesty that cuts the jail time of prisoners who have a good record. Under the terms of the amnesty, Glitter could possibly have his jail time cut by half.
