Kate Beckinsale has landed a starring role in a new thriller set in cold Antarctica. Kate is to play a US marshal in the movie Whiteout which is based on the novel by Greg Rucka.
In the movie Kate is sent to Antarctica to investigate the continents first murder. She has only 3 days to solve the murder or be trapped with the killer as Antarctica falls into winter.
The movie begins shooting in March in Montreal.
