PBS Kids Series between the Lions to get $11 Million Funding

Two companies have pledged to donate $11 million in funds for the PBS Kids’ series “Between the Lions,” Barksdale Reading Institute and also The Corporation for Public Broadcasting feel that it is a great investment as the learn-to-read program has such a great success rate with rural communities that are poor.

Some of the areas that benefit from the kid’s educational program are Kansas, Mississippi and New Mexico, this is a report that was put together by a handful of university’s

The broadcasting companies that are involved with this project have said that they are very pleased with the huge amount of funding and that it is now able to make another 20 programs, and this can only help to spread the word of “Between the Lions”
