The Late Late Show host “Craig Ferguson” on CBS has now decided to lay off Britney Spears, for how long we do not know. He had been making jokes about the troubled singer for a while now but decided not to make jokes about the vulnerable.
Craig Ferguson said on his show “For me, comedy should have a certain amount of joy in it.” He then added “It should be about attacking the powerful — the politicians, the Trumps, the blowhards — going after them. We shouldn’t be attacking the vulnerable.”
Ferguson has some sympathy for Britney, as he explained to the TV audience he to faced hardship in 1992 when he was trying to battle against alcoholism in which he also thought about committing suicide. He then added that “she clearly needs help.”
