David Hasselhoff is starring in the Broadway musical The Producers as cross-dressing director Roger DeBris, and he’s struggling with his costume.
The Hoff says “Now I know why women can’t wait to get out of heels. I’ll only wear the two inch pumps; if I wore the three inch I’d fall over like a giraffe.”
The Hoff also has to don a beaded gown and red wig. Hasselhoff 54 added “I look like Denis Rodman on acid.”
Once deciding to play the transvestite the Hoff realises most of his roles have been strange. At first he was unsure about accepting the role.
Talking of strange, the Hoff has decorated his dressing room with life-size posters and cut-outs of himself in Knight Rider and Baywatch.
He says of this “I must be the most self-indulgent person to have this stuff. But I’ve got to market the Hoff.”
