Daniel Radcliffe the star of the hit movies Harry Potter had his debut of Equus in the West End and he received a standing ovation, and his performance shows that he truly has a talent for the stage.
Many were going into the theatre with mixed views about what Radcliffe would be like as many just see him as little Harry Potter, but those feelings were soon lifted after he put in such a fantastic performance that shows that this 17 year old truly can act.
Many stars were at the debut of Equus like American movie star Christian Slater who said “The work that Daniel did on stage was incredible, extraordinary. I take my hat off to him completely.” Slater then went on to say “He became Alan Strang. I never thought for one second I was looking at Daniel Radcliffe - I was watching Alan Strang.” He finally added “I’m remarkably impressed. I think he was brave, adventurous and courageous, he’s a phenomenon and I would certainly love to work with him.”
Equus has had a great start and much of this has to do with the Harry Potter star himself as people rush to see what else this young actor can do, and incidentally Warner Bros the studio who make the Harry potter rumours have denied reports that they were not happy with Radcliffe appearing in the Equus play and have said that they fully support him.
