Hollywood superstar, and Unicef Ambassador Angelina Jolie has show interest in acquiring the movie right to the Melissa Hawach Story, which tells the story of the Canadian mother’s struggle to snatch back her abducted children from their Australian father.
Melissa Hawach hired two former Australian and New Zealand Special Forces soldiers to seal her children back from her estranged husband last year.
A Jolie representative has been in touch with Hawach’s agent, Sean Anderson to pitch her for the part.
Anderson said, “A spokesman for Jolie made the bid in a phone call and was expecting further details of Jolie’s interest in an email from her production company overnight. She has shown interest in playing Melissa. For someone with Angelina’s profile to be keen, it’s obviously very flattering.”
Anderson also added that 5 other studios, including 20th Century Fox have already bid on this distressing tale.
