While numerous kind-hearted celebrities give their time and talent freely to aid Children in Need it appears that host Terry Wogan is the only celeb to receive payment for his time.
Terry picks up a staggering £1,300 per hour while acting as host. Wogan has said, “I’ve never asked for a fee and I would quite happily do it for nothing.”
Costs for the TV, radio and online extravaganza for 2005 have been released and cost £1.2m. The show raised £17.2m, and Terry picked up £9,065 for 7 hours hosting.
