X Factor bosses have dropped Louis Walsh as a judge and Kate Thornton as host as they think they are making the show dull.
A show insider said, “Kate’s devastated, she’s been in tears all day. She’s been on the show for three years but it wasn’t working any more. The powers that be felt the show was in dire need of an overhaul. Kate was one of the casualties. Frankly, Louis was just boring and, at times, his choices were odd. He walked out after talks with bosses which made it fairly clear he was about to be sidelined.”
The X Factor will be revamped with a new host and two new judges to sit alongside Simon Cowell and Sharon Osbourne. The contestant age will also be lowered to 14.
