Hollywood’s ‘Blonde Bombshell’ Betty Hutton has died at the age of 86. During the 50’s Hutton was a major star in Hollywood, one of her best known movies is Annie Get Your Gun, Irving Berlin’s musical biography of Wild West sharpshooter Annie Oakley.
Hutton’s big screen career ended when she walked out on a contract with movie giant Paramount, but she continued to work on TV, the stage and occasional nightclub.
Hutton’s personal life was to say the least, a tad rocky at times with financial problems, rows between her and her three children, four failed marriages, drug and alcohol abuse, and an attempted suicide in the 60’s.

I can’t believe I’m just finding out about Ms. Huttons passing, it feels like loosing a very good friend. She was one of the most beautiful, exciting, talented actresses to ever grace the screen. She could make you laugh till it hurt or make you want to cry in a serious scene. There will never be another like her. The world was a much better place for her passing through our lives. She will greatly missed.
