SG-1 in Arctic

Straight to DVD movie Stargate Continuum is to begin shooting scenes in the Arctic with the cooperation of the U.S. Navy’s Applied Physics Laboratory Ice-station MGM have announced.
During the week of March 23rd to the 29th , Ben Browder and Amanda Tapping will travel to the ice-station that is some 200 nautical miles north of Alaska’s Prudhoe Bay. A variety of scenes will be shot during the week at the ice-station where temperatures can drop to below 50 below zero. Other scenes are to include the U.S. submarine, USS Alexandra.
There are to be two straight to DVD Stargate movies based on the hit show Stargate SG-1, the first of which is Stargate The Arc of Truth, and begins production on April 15 th. The second movie is Stargate Continuum, which resumes shooting on May 22nd. Both movies are co-financed by MGM and 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment.
