Stan Lee in dispute over Marvel ownership

Stan Lee is involved in a dispute over who owns ownership of Marvel Comics, an internet publishing firm are now claiming that they own part of the business and are taking legal action too claim half of their ownership.
Stan Lee Media, a company that the creator of Marvel Comics Stan Lee co-founded are now saying that he signed away his rights to the company in 1998 when Marvel was bankruptcy.
They have since worked through the bankruptcy through a successful few years of Marvel movies such as Spider Man, X-Men and more.

In my opinion this story has been mis reported. Your headline intimates that Stan Lee is in dispute with Marvel over the ownership of the company. This would seem to be far from true. It is correct that Stan Lee Media is taking legal action but this should not be seen as a move by the co-founder himself rather it could be viewed as an opportunist, imaginative attempt at claiming something that no longer exists Avi Arad and co rescued the Marvel brand. (oh didn’t notice that whatshisname piling his cash in those times yet making a rather loud noise now) It would be as inappropriate a president as say Ford/GM current execs claiming profits in 10 yrs time after the current US Government bailout.
Marvel has looked after Stan Lee kindly, fairly and respectfully in recent years in my opinion. Stan Lee, who as always behaves with complete dignity, continues to write the daily News Spider Man strip (no protest withdrawal there?) Perhaps Stan should use the “Power Cosmic” and silence the alleged individuals dragging his name through the courts and wasting taxpayers money.
