
Tickets for the Glastonbury festival have sold out within two hour’s, 400,000 fans of the festival signed up. 137,000 public tickets were gone in 1hr 45min’s when they went on sale at 9am Sunday. Organisers are very pleased with the sales even though phone lines and websites found it hard to cope. The full line up of celebrity’s will not be released until June. The Who, Artic monkeys and Dame Shirley Bassey will be performing at the festival.
The festival, which has run for 37 years at Glastonbury, was earlier this week given a licence to secure the event until 2010. On April 22nd at 9am, there will be another chance to buy tickets of transactions that failed.
