Kitt up for sale

One of the 4 Pontiac Trans Am cars that were used in Knight Rider has gone up for sale. David Hasselhoff’s talking car, Kitt, short for Knight Industries Tow Thousand is being sold in California for $150,000.

However, the new owner will not be allowed to take it on the roads because it doesn’t have a number of modifications required by US law. Also, whoever buys it must realise Kitt doesn’t actually have its own voice and cannot drive itself or leap into the air; though the red scanner light on its bonnet has been restored.

Kitt will be on display until it is sold by dealer Kassabian Motors of Dublin, California.
