Will Smith 38 has been named most powerful man on the planet by Newsweek’s annual list. The ratings are calculated by the amount the film takes in its opening week, and Will’s films are a sure thing .The Men in Black and Independence Day star toppled Tom Cruise and Tom Hanks from the top.
The Pursuit of Happiness, Will’s latest movie earned $298 million worldwide as with all his films grossing millions at the box office.
Will has gone from strength to strength from The Fresh Prince of Belair to topping the music charts he can do nothing wrong.
Second place was taken by Johnny Depp, also in the running were Brad Pitt and Ben Stiller.
