$126,000 for Alien suit

At a movie memorabilia auction in Calabasas Hills California, an alien suit designed by H. R. Giger for the movie Alien sold for the highest bid of $126,500. Superman’s costume, worn by Christopher Reeve’s in Superman. The Movie came a close second scooping $115,000.

Other memorabilia that went under the hammer included a first season Star Trek tunic worn by Leonard Nimoy as Spock at $34,500; the headpiece from the staff of Ra from the movie Raider of the Lost Ark taking $69,000, and a Winkie guard uniform from the Wizard of Oz that also took $115,000. In all the entire auction raised $2,000,000.
