Nominees for Sidewise awards announced

This year’s Sidewise Awards, given annually for works of alternate history, have announced their nominees. The Sidewise Awards are named in honour of the 1934 short story Sidewise in Time by Murray Leinster. This year’s awards will be given during Nippon 2007 at this year’s Worldcon, in Yokohama Japan between August 30th and September 3rd.
The 2007 nominees are:
Short form: Andrew Tisbert for The Meteor of the War, Martin Gidron for Palestina, Brian Stableford for The Plurality of Worlds, Chris Floyd for History Lesson, Stephen Baxter for The Pacific Mystery, Gardner Dozois for Counterfactual, and Maya Kaathryn Bohnhoff for O, Pioneer.
Long form: Jo Walton for Farthing, Robert Conroy for 1862, Charles Stross for The Hidden Family and The Clan Corporate, Harry Turtledove for The Disunited States of America, and Paul Park for The Tourmaline.
