Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi actor Ewan McGregor has been immortalised by the US postal service by appearing on one of fifteen special edition stamps that celebrate the 30th anniversary of Star Wars next month.
The fifteen stamps portray several characters from all the Star Wars movies; McGregor’s portrays his character Obi-Wan Kenobi in a lightsabre battle with Anakin Skywalker on a 41cent stamp.
After a dedication ceremony at the Star Wars Celebration IV in Los Angeles on the 25th may, the postage stamps will go on sale. The United States Postal Service has printed more than 5 billion copies to cope with likely demand from Star Wars fans.
