
A festival in honour of ex Beatle and legendary singer John Lennon is to be held in Scotland. The three-day event will be held in the remote village of Durness that Lennon frequently visited when he was young. The festival, to be held in September will include film screenings, dancing and poetry. It has been reported that 1,100 tickets are to be released.
Lennon was shot dead on December 8th 1980 in America by Mark Chapman. On December 14th millions of people paid tribute by responding to a plea made by Lennon’s wife Yoko Ono for a ten minute silence.
