Wartime housewife Victoria Wood, a Winner

The ITV drama Housewife, set during the war has won British actress and comedian Victoria Wood two Bafta’s, she took the awards for best actress and best single drama. The actress also known for her sitcom writing has seven Baftas in all.

This years Bafta awards held in London also saw The X Factor take Best entertainment programme and Best comedy performance went to Ricky Gervais.
