Will there be Pirates of the Caribbean 4?

So Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End is in the cinemas now and people have already started talking about Pirates of the Caribbean 4. I have not had a chance to see the new movie yet, but what I do know is that the second movie Dead Man’s Chest was a very weak film compared to the first. Let us hope that this third instalment of the Disney franchise will be better than the second.
As for all the rumours about a fourth Pirates movie, I feel that the good ship has sailed for the last time. How much more can Disney squeeze out of this franchise.

Yes i think they have to doo a 4 pirates movie because they left the ending with an openning and because the story wasn’t finished with a happy ending four elisabeth and will and the peaople will be desapionted

excuse me but that is not an end for jack sparrow…he is being doing incredible things trough the last three movies, and he can end up saliling all alone((((i want him to have something with elizabeth..even if she has married to will))))with some place to go, with out his ship, without a girl, and without inmortality(wich he gave to will)

I would love ther 2 be a 4th at the end with will and elizabeth i want 2 no wat happeds next, i want there to be a happy ending with them and i want them to be together, it was dissapoiting to leave the cinema with them too seperated for 10 years i mean she will be older then but will wont becoz he has no heart. And that means if she gets older and he dosent thats not really good is it. But i want to see wat ou do and make it lyk please. and please dont take any of the characters away and dont let will die nor elizabeth nor jack nor any of the main characters because we all love them and seeing them go is going to dissapoint everyone were used to these characters we love them and we dont want to have to get used to another new character so please keep them. thanks

As far as i see, almost every coment about a 4th Pirates movie (or a 7th star wars movie, or a 4th matrix movie, and so on…) is basically as follows: “the story isn’t closed” or “i would like the story to finish like this, and that’s why there must be made another sequel”. Well, life itself is never a closed story, and good movies DON’T HAVE CLOSED STORIES. The fact that a movie’s ending does not meet everyone’s expectations happened, happens and will happen everytime. There are only a few things in culture that have closed structures; one of those are silly movies for kids, one of which pirates 3 is not.

I for 1 love the Pirates franchise i hope that there will be a 4th. They left it open ended and Jack with a map of the fountian of youth, which makes me want to watch it even more . I really can’t wait to see what happens to Jack Elizabeth and Will. If they are going to make a 4th I hope that Orlando Bloom and Kiera Knightly stick with it. I also agree entirely with “AL1983″. I really love pirates. I hope there will be a 4th pirates.If there is I agree with”alianna”to have Orlando Bloom & Kiera Knightly stick with it.If they didn’t it just wouldn’t be right and wouldn’t feel like pirates anymore without the original people from pirates 1-3.I feel there will be a 4th one because it feels like they left all of us hanging from where it ended. I agree that they do in fact need a fourth movie to give Jack a happy ending, or an ending at all. He wasn’t really give one in the third movie. What I mean by an ending is getting what he wants, or something similar. They should end it with Jack content to sail the seas. Thats what he wants. To sail forever so that’s how the story should end. With him gaining that.
But I believe Will and Elizabeth got their happy ending. What else is there for them? I don’t see any way for them to get that perfect ending. It just wouldn’t fit. That was the only way for Will to live on, and if he has to sacrifice tens of year just to see her a handful of times before she dies, then so be it. It’s better then never seeing her at all. And he will still have a SON to come back to.
So personally I believe Will and Elizabeth’s story is done with.
It’s their Son’s now, if they want to continue with him.
Of course there has to be a fourth pirates movie! Everyone will be so dissapointed never getting to see Will meet his son and there is just so much that they can do with the fact that they do have a son. We have no Idea if they will raise him as a pirate or keep him away from that life. We don’t even know the little boys name! The public would be too dissapointed to have it left at that. The story is incomplete.
I know a great way to make the 4th but no one will listen 2 me.

There is an ending for will and elizabeth. there’s a deleted scene in P3 with tia dalma and davy jones explaining that if she had waited for him and had come to meet him after the first 10 years he had been on the Flying Dutchman, he wasn’t bound to the ship anymore. that’s why he was so angry with tia. if she had been there he would have been free. at the end of p3 (after the credits) you see elizabeth has waited for will for 10 years. so he’s free to leave the ship.
who is to take over the ship after him, is not explained though.

I didn’t, and I left the movie theatre very dissapointed. I want Elizabeth and Will to be together! But, I heard about after the credits and I looked up “Pirates Of The Caribbean At Worlds End after the credits” and found it, and it really does make the movie a lot better, but still it leaves me wanting more! and I want there to be another movie, but people have told me that Keira has said she didn’t want to do the movie anymore, and I don’t think I would be interested anymore if Will and Elizabeth are not in the movie anymore, they are my favorite part! I love Captain Jack, but Elizabeth and Will are mainly the biggest reason why I love these movies so much!
I am not trying to brag, but I just talked to David Bailie (Mr. Cotton) today on the phone and he said that he likes ‘At Worlds End’ the most so far. ‘So far’ being the key word in there. I really hope that there will be a fourth because what happens to Will and Elizabeth? And Jack doesn’t have his precious ship!!! They have to go on!

Well…YES!!! This movie totally went out with a cliff-hanger…I mean I LOVED IT, but really…EVERYONE wants to know what happens to Jack…and whether he finds the “Fountain of Eternal Youth” or not. (hint hint, THAT would be the perfect title for yet another sequel…)
And as for Will and Elizabeth?
Sure, they can only see eachother once every ten years, so sure, their ending was not any fan’s preffered ending for the couple, but if you’re as crazy about pirates as I am (and thats REALLY crazy), you would’ve known that after the credits for every POTC movie there is another scene. And in the LAST scene for AWE…(THIS IS A TOTAL SPOILER!!) it is TEN years later and Elizabeth TURNER is with her TEN year old son(Will is the father) waiting for Will. You see a green flash, and then you see Will on the Flying Dutchman, coming to shore to see them.
i think there has to be another pirates of the caribbean.cause they left us with alot of questions on our minds.iam curious about will and elizabeth cause will left elizabeth on a island all by her self.since her father is dead.she needs will to be with her.cause she doesnt have any body else since she married will.she should go on the ship with will and have a child with him and stay with him.they should have wild sex all the time so they would be a family

i recon that the pirates of the carribean 4 is not gonna be the best , because there is no kira knitly one of the mane characters in it . But if you would have top diside between the pirates of the carribean 2 and the at worlds end the i would diside numer 2 because at worlds end it is way to long but the number 2 has exitment and humer just like the third one but it is a lot shorter and more exiting.
OMG YES!!!!!! The past 6 years of my life (yes i knew pirates was coming out a year b4 evry1 else did dont ask me y!?) but i have wasted thinking and watching and acting out Pirates Of The Caribbean, I would definately give up years and years of my life to work on such a great project being pirates of the Caribbean, i am nearly 13 years old, and i have even worked out how to get to Los Angeles Studio for the Auditions from Australia! My whole life is based around Pirates of the Caribbean!!! anyway, As Everyone Else has said i definately think there will be a Pirates of The Caribbean 4 because of what i have heard from people and media and everything, but dont trust me!!! but Ted And Terry ( the Writers) have left a perfect ending for another sequel for P.O.T.C and soo i definately think the Gore and Jerry (Director and Producer) will have another move coming up!!!!!

I have heard they are making 5 Pirates of the Caribbean movies and as alot of you have said Will and Elizabeth story needs to end with them being together ALIVE and for all of you who thinks stories never end well for those fortunate people who marry there true love guess what story ends with a happy ending

I think they should because if you go to the ending of the credits, you’ll see that Elizabeth is waiting on the cliff with her son 10 years later and u see Turner on the boat sailing to the island where they last were so I think they should.
i think there will be a fourth although at the end of the movie after the credits it shows Elizabeth 10 years later with that kid from the start that gets hanged (looks like him anyway) and it shows will on the dutchman coming towards them both while they are standing on a hill. So WHEN they make a fourth i doubt it will have anything to do with Elizabeth or Will or maybe even jack.

I think there will be a 4th movie of Pirates. just think they left the ending open, Jacks ship is gone AGAIN, he took a map. And if you watched the credits Elizabeth has a son and Will is comming up to see them for the 1st time in 10 years. I don’t think that they should make a fourth “Pirates of the Caribbean”. ENOUGH is ENOUGH! Don’t get me wrong, I am a HUGE fan of the Pirates series, but I think three is enough, and if they make a fourth one, that will ruin the whole series.

POTC 4….should be about Jack….finding his true love…for the first time…or again after losing her in the past….i think it would be a great story. the orginal cast should be involved, but if Orlando and Keira arent the main focus, it would still be great. i loved the 3 one i would love to see the 4 but what would it be about?
The story line could be about anything….more about Jacks’ adventures, because you know there must have been many in his pirate life. Elizabeth and Will could be involved, but not to the extend of being the main story line again. More about Jack and his father would be cool too. I wonder if Keith Richards would want to be Capt. Teague Sparrow again? It was a cool part for sure. It added so much to the movie, even though he wasnt in it the entire time. Who knows….they didnt think they would ever make another Indiana Jones film, and they did. Why not Pirates too? That is the cool thing about writing….anything is possible in the imagination.
From what I have read, Orlando Bloom will not be back for the fourth installment, but because the producers and other corporate people don’t want him back. If you look back, it had been planned what would happen to him in the second movie when Tiadorma said he had a “touch of destiny”. Apparently the higher ups thought Orlando Bloom was getting too much fan base and taking it away from Johnny Depp who, let’s be honest, is the basis of these movies. They put Jack Sparrow in the rides at Disneyland and Disneyworld, not any other character. The Will/Elizabeth storyline has run it’s course and I doubt it will continue. I could see them havng Jack corrupt Will and Elizabeth’s child though! My personal opinion is that I like the movies. I am a fan of Orlando Bloom and I wasn’t happy with what happened to his character but after all I have read about it, I guess I understand why they did what they did. Oh, and they did say they wouldn’t release one for a couple years because 2 and 3 were released so close together. My guess is as long as there is an audience, the movies will continue.
well FYI if you watched after the credits after pirates number 3, you would have seen Will come back and see his 10 year old son after the 10 years of him being away It was sorta a happy ending if you watched the extra scene

I mean, what if Jack’s Adventures continue in the same year only maybe a few weeks after he left tortuga from the third movie and he meets up with Barbossa later on in Bahamus after meeting a man who warns Jack about black beard and p…whoever both wanting the fountain of youth for themselves and Jack tells Barbossa maybe this in my case,”If we both want to find the fountain, then we both might have to find it together before these two whoevers both do. savvy?” maybe that but I do wish it came out next year or at least the same year when Shrek goes fourth comes out. in the end of the 3rd movie they sort of left an opening wen barbossa sed “gentlemen i give u the fountain of youth” and then the circle bit was missing out of the map and then it showed jack sparrow in the little boat and he has the circle bit and he turns it and it says fountain of youth and then he starts singing “drink up me harties yo ho!” then as it ends u see jack sparrow sailing off in2 the sunset wiv his bottle of rum which he always has wiv him. so if u ask me i think it a bit suspicious b coz of the waythey hav ended the 3rd movie it is almost like an opening in2 the 4th movie.
They should make a 4th pirates!!!! Everyone loves Pirates of the Carribean! And the captain Jack just wouldnt be captain Jack without Johnny Depp, and i heard that there is a possiblity that he wouldnt be Jack anymore! OUTRAGEOUS!
What they probably will do let some time go by before they let it slip there is a new POTC in the works. No doubt, it will be kept under wraps much like they did with the making of the new Indiana Jones film. I agree, it Keira and Orlando are not up for another chapter, thier fans may be disappointed, but…as long as Johnny Depp still returns as Capt. Jack, the adventure will be totally entertaining. Lets’ see some of his life before Will and Elizabeth came along….there has to be a story there too.

Johnny Depp is returning as Captain Jack Sparrow, Savvy? but Will and Elizabeth are not the pirates of the Caribbean anymore but at least Barbossa (played by Geffroy rush ’sorry for getting his first name wrong’) and Jack are returning and this movie is a sequal from At World’s End and the two rival Pirates are forced to join forces to stop an evil new or old or dangerous Pirate of all time. by the way, who’s the new actor to be acting as Black Beard? They have to make a fouth pirates of the carabean, the ending to the last one was sooo sad and Jack is going to try get his boat back all over again.
I’m hoping that all the charecters will return, such as will, elizabeth, jack, captain barbosa… Because the couple should end up together.
The point is that Pirates of the Carabean has always been my favourite and the fact that it could just end like this is very disapointing. Maby this talk about (zac Efron) would’nt be a bad idea to add to the movie bur the other charecters have to be pursuaded to come back and act. PLEASE PLEASE MAKE AN OTHER ONE!!!!!!!!

I don’t think the “Pirates” saga is over for good….at least not as far as “Capt Jack” is concerned. The story lines for his character could continue for a while, in another direction, of course. Will and Elizabeth are great characters, but should be left behind now. Perhaps references to them could be included in future films somehow. People tend to forget, pirates roamed the seas, looking for adventure and treasure all over the world….why should Jack Sparrow be any different. He is, after all…a Pirates, pirate to the core.
I believe they should make another POTC. They could actually have Jack and Balbosa fighting over the swroll jack had torn out the middle. Will could hear a value of the fountain of youth that can free him and his father from that ship. Elizabeth is still the king, and she could hear about it and try to save will and her father. But at the same time all of them would have to come together to fight something off that is far more worse than flying dutchman.
I could understand if they did not make another movie because all of the questions was answered in the last movie. I can understand that jack saved WIll by making him captain of that ship because it is in jacks nature to do good. Remember in the second one he went back to help them fight. Captain jacks journeys are not going to end because he is a pirate. Will and Elizabeth had a child. Will turner could not walk on land for 10 years not he couldnt see her. Because remember Will was on the ship when the tenacle guy was captain. Plus someone had a question about why the people on the ship turned human again, its because will was not a true pirate. In the movie it was said that because the flying dutchman was in love with sea, thats why jack and the flying dutchman would have had tenacles.
I THINK THEY SHOULD DO ANOTHER PIRATES FILM BECAUSE THEY LEFT THE 3RD ONE WITH AN OPEN ENDING. SO IT WOULD BE GREAT IF THEY COULD DO ANOTHER ONE!!!!
i think they should make a pirates of the carribean 4. the first one was hilarious and they left the 3rd one open-ended and there’s lots of room for a new story. i just hope they do a better job on the plot than they did on the 3rd and 4rth.
ok so i like that….but please hey guys!!! don’t put zac efron in the movie!!! i cannot stand all the rumors!!! i cannot imagine zac efron being jack sparrow or being in the movie itself!!! i don’t think he’ll have a good participation in the movie….and jack sparrow….lame!!! as if he can say savvy as good as johnny….or act or walk or run like johnny…i doubt it if he can imitate johnny’s facial expressions!!! this is a big joke!!! just let him stay on hsm or hairspray!!!
