Universal – Warner creating Potter Park

Universal Orlando Resort and Warner Brothers have teamed up to create “A theme park within a theme park” at the resorts Islands of Adventure, and is to be called The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, inspired by JK Rowling’s characters and stories, will enable visitors to visit some of the locations seen in the Potter movies, places like Hogwarts Castle, Hogsmeade, and even the Forbidden Forest.

The new park will also feature rides, shops, restaurants, and interactive attractions. The company who are creating The Wizarding World of Harry Potter say, “state-of-the-art attraction that will bring the magic, characters and stories of Harry Potter to life in an exciting way that guests have never before experienced.”

The attraction, based on the highly successful Harry Potter books and films is expected to open late 2009.
