
Oscar winning actress Julie Christie will return to acting in the West End after a 12 year break. Christie 66, is to in Cries of the Heart on the 17th June for a one-off performance at the Royal Court Theatre in aid of Human Rights Watch.
Julie last appeared on a British stage in 1995. At the one-off performance she will read a selection of poems and a piece based on a Somali woman’s real-life experiences. Also appearing on the show will be Jeremy Irons, Tom Stoppard, Juliet Stevenson, Sophie Okonedo, and Sinead Cusack.
