Potter fans are quid’s in with price war

Fans waiting to purchase J K Rowling’s latest instalment of Harry Potter, Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows are going to be overjoyed with the latest price war. Supermarket rivals Tesco and Asda will sell the novel at less than half its cover cost at £8.87.

The recommended price for the latest Potter is £17.99, bookstore Waterstones has reduced their shelf price in line with Tesco and Asda while WH Smith will sell at £9.97 with Woolworth is at £9.99.

Even the internet is joining the price war with the cheapest being Play.com at £9.99, while Amazon who have already taken 1.5m orders are selling at £11.74 which includes delivery.
