Writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci have completed the final script for the next Star Trek movie. The movie is to go into production in November with J.J. Abrams as director.
Orci said: “We’re still casting. We’re in preproduction, actually, this month.” Although the script is top secret he added, “Kirk is in the movie – We literally haven’t cast them yet. It’s actually one of the challenges, and so we’re hoping to have something by Comic-Con in San Diego in July, but we’ll see. That’s one of the debates, you know? Like, how much does a familiar face hurt or not?”
In answer to rumours that Matt Damon is up for Kirk and Adrien Brody taking on Spoke’s character, Orci responded, “I’ve read all those rumours, too.”
