Recent rumours suggesting that Dr. Phil and his wife Robin are to divorce, this has been dismissed by friends who are close to the couple. The report that Robin McGraw and Dr. Phil were to divorce first surfaced from the Globe’s Website, with the headline reading Dr. Phil Divorce Blow-up!

On the site they went on to say that Dr Phil who makes a living from dishes out advice to people who have problems, might now need some advice himself so that he can save his own marriage. However friends close to the couple decided to phone Dr.Phil and Robin just to confirm that these reports were in fact false.

    I think Robin should divorce Dr Phil. He’s not as perfect as he wants people to think he is. Poor Robin has no say in the marriage.

    I am glad to hear that this is a false rumor. I am all for anyone who can stay married in today’s society. I am also very happy to know that Dr Phil and Robin still stand by each other when the media is trying so hard to tear good people apart. God bless you both

    Dr. Phil doesn not claim to be perfect, he says all the time he has to be smacked upside the head and told youcan’t say that or do that by Robin. She is always straightening him out, and he admits that. He always says that he’s not perfect, thing is he an admit that and most people can’t. So be mad at himif you want to because he tells you things you don’t want to hear. I actually fell sorry for those people. And for the record counselors don’t counsel thmselves, they also have to get outside help. Why? because everyone is human.

    He’s not a counsellor. A counsellor listens in private to someone’s issues. They tend to be non biased and while they will give their professional opinion they don’t tend not to give their personal ones. He has a doctorate of physiology and injects the benefits of his education into the show. But when he is on TV he is a talk show host not a counsellor. It’s an important distinction because he is not trying to help everyone who comes on his show the way a counsellor would try to help everyone who comes into his office. And by the way. When a person has trouble admitting to his own short comings this is when a counsellor should be sympathetic and help them do some self examination but this is when Dr. Phil usually makes a joke or just has an expression that his audience laughs at. I know the guest are there of their own free will but I am disappointed that people who know better are exploiting those who obviously don’t.

    Dr Phil is the social conservative far right. Rumour is he cheated on his first wife, and gave her a to do list for the day. Dr. Phil is a sellout and his show, while masquerading as a self help show is total trash. Robin has no say in this marriage and is just along for the ride. They deserve each other.
