JK Rowling will appear in court today in Manhattan over the Harry Potter Lexicon case, the court hearing is to do with a legal battle that Harry Potter writer JK Rowling and film maker Warner Bros have brought against RDR Books. This small publisher has published the Harry Potter Lexicon, an A-Z companion, which Rowling believes it breaches her copyright.

JK Rowling is also angry as she was planning on writing her own Harry Potter encyclopedia; the writer also stated that she would have donated the proceeds to a charity. RDR Books said that they will publish the books which will retail at $24.95.

Rowling has said on her website that she was “massively disappointed.” We will just have to wait and see what the outcome of the court case will be.
