Last week a rumor was going around that the new Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull movie would have a running time of 140 minutes; however this is not in fact true. The new movie is to have a running time of two hours, 20 minutes shorter than the rumor.
The rumor of a 140 minute running time for the movie was in fact from composer John Williams, who run a series of YouTube videos discussing the new Indiana Jones movie, where in one he stated what the running time for the film would be. All three of the Indian Jones movies had a running time of 2 hours, well The Last Crusade managed to squeeze 127 minutes, so it stands to reason that Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will also keep to the 2 hour mark. Although many fans are glad to see a new Indiana Jones movie, I do not think for one moment that they will what to sit in the cinema for anything over 2 hours.
When it comes to action movies it seems that we can only take so much, I am more than happy with a 2-hour movie, well unless it is Lord of the Rings of course.
