Leona rocks. mariah had like 20 years of music that's why she sold 200 million or more. Leona is in her 4 th year or more,come on you can't compare album sales cause Leona is just a starter. Leona is the best and yeah, mariah is old news. love them both as artists and music and i'm a fan of both but i like leona's voice more than mariah and leona has songs that mariah can't even reach with her voice and leona proved that she can sing mariah's songs way better. anyways,blessings to both..

Guys, arguing on internet comments is a little immature no?

Anyway, Leona Lewis is a National Treasure for the UK, and she is undoubtedly the Greatest British Artist of All Time. No one can compare. And who cares if she came from X Factor? She actually tried to make it for 4 years before auditioning fe X Factor…

Mariah Carey was the greatest music force of the 1990s, but in the 00s she faded away sadly, I am a huge mariah fan, but we have to admit- her sparkle is gone.

Leona HAS taken her place as the Greatest Vocalist Alive.

Mariah had a tough time with drugs and disappeared for a few years after disappointing record sales and a drop in popularity.

Leona has not sold as many because she’s only on her second album which she wrote and co-wrote every track!

The industry is in a mess with the recession and all, plus technology ha changed the music business.

Leona Lewis is not the new Mariah.

Leona Lewis is the Greatest Vocalist on Earth. Simple.

To me ive been a fan of mariah carey since i was young and she stood the taste of time whch artists like whitney houston have failed.Mariah will always be mariah,leona lewis sounde like her especially on better with time but she will never be like mariah.i love her music but she still has a long way to go

leona is better PERIOD somebody made a comment like mariah carey 200 million albums sold leona only 5 well im sure because of the fact that mariah has had more records would have to do with her selling more also back then in the 90s it wasnt as much technology like it is now so instead of people going out an buying albums their downloading itunes or getting them illegally off of limewire if leona was out in the 90s she would have been just as big as mariah if not better and yeah mariah has a good voice but she never shows it in live performances i mean all i see is someone lip syncing onstage mariah says leonas not a singer cause she doesnt write her sings well hmm i can say mariahs not a singer since she doesnt actually sing anymore she lip syncs where as leona demands that she sings live anytime its possible to me thats what being a singer is all about leona didnt try out for the xfactor to be a song writer she wants to sing mariah is just afraid that leona is going to be a bigger star than her and she’ll fade out like all the other 90s singers

It’s true. I hear no similarity either. She has curly hair like Mariah did when she was starting out. She is mixed. She has a nice voice and can hit a lot of the notes MC does. But that’s pretty much it. If anything she sounds similar to Christina A. I actually thought that was who it was singing Bleeding Love when I first heard it. I have been an MC fan for as long as I can remember and I have all her cds. Mariah has this sliky rich tone to her voice. THAT is not imitatable, only the notes she sings are. And Bonus: Mariah writes and produces her songs.

she sang I’ll be there and Without you, in the same way and with the same backingvocals that Mariah did. Leona also sang aways be my baby by Mariah Carey.

Leona will NEVER be Mariah. and Mariah is right, there is no similarity betwen them

Mariah is much better.No one will beat her.
