New Superman movie will see our hero play an angry god

Director of the new Superman movie is doing a very brave thing as he is going make our hero play an angry god, and that could get some Superman fans very angry. Thomas Tull already did a great job with Superman returns as well as the fantastic Batman Begins and 300, I just think he is a brave man but the director believes that the character needs to be refocused.
We are not sure how he will get Superman to make the transition from good to evil, the only way that he could do this is by introducing Superman to Red Kryptonite. However; I do worry if that was the case as it would be just the same as Superman III which stared the late great Christopher Reeve. What we do know about Tull is how good he is at re-writing a character, so we could see Superman just making his own decision to turn into an angry god, maybe something happens to him personally which will have the same affect on him like us everyday people.
I suppose that we have to trust the judgement of Thomas Tull as the director has not let us down with some of his previous films. I did not go into the cinema to watch Superman Returns with much hope however; the director did something special and I was surprised at how much I actually enjoyed the movie even though it had a few unknown actors in it.

Thomas Tull is the CEO of Lergendary Pictures. He’s not a producer nor a screenwriter. An “Angry God” could simply be that when you piss Superman off, he’ll show you how powerful he truly is. No-one has stated anything about him turning evil. Besides, that was done years ago in Superman III and it was terrible then.

BEING A SUPERMAN FAN FROM THE 1970s that s a terrible idea never in my life have i heard of a stupid story i’m turning angry introduce characters like bizzaro that would be a great film lets see superman throw something actually have a fight besides that story line has already happened in superman 3 lets be original.

I wish Steven Spielberg could make a Superman, just look what he did with Transformers – fantastic special effects. Imagine what he could do with a action Superman movie. From space to earth to ocean, one can do so much. Braniac , now that would be interesting?
Movie makers should read the comics and build on that with the characters. At least is Smallville getting better, but the story can be so far off from the true Superman strories. Will Clark Cent ever become Superman in Smallville?
Superman Returns was good and Lex is always a good villian. Hope they can build on Returns story……but an angry god…..please NO!
First of all I think that the next Superman movie should stay focused to Donner’s films. In the next sequel Superman should fight an alien like Doomsday and Brainiac or both.
I would also like to see the remnants of Krypton that were cut from the previous film as much as the new Krypton concept we saw in the last film (and more Fortress of Solitude footage please). The most important for me is that Lois at last must learn the truth about Clark’s true identity.
As for Jason, there are rumors that he may be killed in the next film. Maybe that’s what is going to make Superman an angry God. I definitely don’t want to see that in the new film. Jason must help Clark and Lois get together so apparently he must be alive in order to do that. Killing Jason will only create problems to the Clark-Lois relationship. Please no red Cryptonite!!!!!!!!!
Of course Spacey must return as Lex Luthor and he should team up with Brainiac. I wouldn’t say no to a General Zodd return from the Phantom Zone with Terence Stamp of course recurring the role. I definitely want to see Stamp in the new film.
As for Jor El, it’s high time they used him more in the script than just using an old footage from the Donner films. Antony Hopkins is perfect for the role. He even resembles to Marlon Brando and has the same accent. Please get Hopkins in the new film.

I agree with the comments of “Giannis”. Brainiac or Doomsday will be perfect villains. Just think of Doomsday and the action sequences that could be made. Although Doomday should be a later film, as the present story must develop first.
I hope the director will read a dozen Superman comics before he even thinks about Superman. After the last Superman game and I must admit the last “good” Superman Returns movie, things are looking better, but treat the story and Superman with dignity and respect, not just another “cash cow”.
Why haven’t anybody made a movie with Batman and Superman or even a cross over. It was done in the comics with Marvel vs DC?
Imagine a 3 part movie with a build up of various Super heroes fighting one foe, like Doomsday. Or why not create a new Super Villain character with the help of Marvel and DC, with the input of the fans for idees. a Villain exclusive to the movies. Let the story build up in the comics, the villain is then only revealed in the movie.
Now that will sell comics and everybody will want to see the new villain – in the movie!!
Then the story can continue in the comics concerning this particilar villain if not killed in the movie.

I was reading my emails and got a reply from Giannis I agree with load of people are suggesting that superman should fight doomsday and brainic in the new movie. Every superman fan knows that doomsday, is the only person in the comics that was able to kill the man of steel. I think Lois should find out clarks true identity and be angry and at the same time try and understand his reasons for hiding who he really is. The new love interest is a stupid ideas why should the lois and superman romance end. I would love to see what superman is really made of and not hold back while fight the villians (hints)!!! in the justice league cartoon superman was fighting and punched Darkside through at least 7 buildings i would love to see that kind of action in the new film where superman doesn’t hold back. Keep Brandon Routh he was really great as clark kent aka superman.

Steven Spielberg, seriously? Ugh. Surefire way to turn the reinvigorated superman franchise to crap. Look elsewhere to fresher more talented minds…
On further note, a Doomsday movie would be awesome. Let ’s be honest, Superman has never faced a true worthy opponent. He’s probably one of the most absurdly powerful characters is comic book history. Eh, my geekiness is showing. Doomsday, he’s the real deal, probably the only character developed that could even begin to rival Superman (except for the Silver Surfer, though wrong universe). Anyways, a Doomsday movie would be fantastic, but I feel it would have to stretch into two or three movies just to cover the basic Death of Superman plotline. Sweet.

oh my god, thank you Conrad. finally someone gets why superman had a son in the first place. that has to be the only logical explination. and it is even more perfect that he probley has all his powers, every superhero needs an heir.
p.s. not to sound harsh but in order for the son to become superman, i think superman sr. should die, like protecting his son and lois of course………oh and i gess metropolis too, but not richerd, i despise him.

Old Steven might not be the best pick for Superman movies, but he made some great movies?
Anyway, we agree on the Doomsday movie that should be 3 movies…that be great, building the story and suspension etc.
Bring in some more superheroes to help Superman fight Doomsday, like Flash, Wonderwoman, well you get the idee.
But they should continue with the last story and the fights must be on par with Superman’s strentgh, fights that can crumble buildings, not just fist fights….super speed flying, etc.
Superman must use all his powers, quickly not just one in each fight…it should be mixed.

and can i just say that in superman 3 the kryptonite that turned superman evil was not red it was green, the reason it was different to normal green kryptonite was because the unknown substance in it when trying to recrfeate it was replaced with tar. this is what made him evil.
also in superman three a comment is made to clark kent by lana that he has not been back to the farm in smallville since his mother passed away yet in superman returns his mother is alive and well,
anyway looking forward to the next superman!!
