
Lil Wayne has scored his first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart on Thursday with “Lollipop,” knocking Leona Lewis of the top spot in the US singles chart.
This single is the first release from his album. His album, “Tha Carter III,” is due for release on the 10th June.

It’s said that Lil Wayne has made 20 appearances in the past on the Hot 100 single charts since 1999, most of which have been via collaborations and “Go D.J.,” peaked at No. 14 in November 2004.

In other news The Lil Wayne concert has been rescheduled for the 10th May at the Chevrolet Centre. The concert was postponed so that he could honour a prior commitment to film an episode of the CBS television series “CSI,”
It’s said that tickets that have already been bought will be honoured at the 10th May concert. It has also been said that there are an additional 2,500 tickets available.
