One of Eastenders favorite characters Pat Evans formerly Pat Butcher lies on the ground in a critical condition after being mown down by Roxy Mitchell. Peggy Mitchell runs to Pats aid after being run over by her niece’s car in Albert Square.

Roxy is out in her car taking her new Suzuki 4×4 out for a spin, she has both Ben and Peggy Mitchell in the car when the accident happens. Pat is left fighting for her life in these dramatic scenes that we will get to see next Monday at 7.30 PM on BBC One.

While in hospital things look as though Pat is making improvements, but as with all Eastenders plots there has to be sub plots and this one involves Pat’s troubled grandson Steven Beale. She receives a visit from Steven and after the visit her life is left in the balance once more as in one scene we see Steven taking Pat’s mask off and holding a pillow to her face.
Let us hope that Pat survives as Eastenders bosses seem to be getting rid of a few good characters like Honey Mitchell. Why do they not get rid of the dead weights like Steven Beale himself. The problem is they get rid of good characters only to replace them with rubbish ones, then a few years down the line the good ones like Ricky and Bianca come back into the show again.
