We know that Roger Clemens lawyer denied reports that his client and Mindy McCready had an affair however; McCready has offered no such denial. The country star said “I cannot refute anything in the story.” When she told New York Daily News, she was tearful but resolute.
Clemens is still going through an ongoing steroid investigation and this is just another added stress on him, his lawyer Rusty Hardin has said “Clemens’ relationship with the troubled McCready was friendly but never romantic.” He also added “Mindy McCready is a longtime family friend of Roger Clemens and the Clemens family.” “At no time did Roger engage in any kind of inappropriate or improper relationship with her.”
Newspaper reports have said that the affair between Clemens and McCready started once McCready moved to Nashville to become a country singing star. In that same newspaper report Brian McNamee, the former personal trainer of Clemens had confirmed that he had often seen Clemens and McCready together.
Although Clemens has denied the affair McCready’s mother has confirmed that the pair had a lengthy relationship however; she did say that she did not have any knowledge of how imitate the couple were. Roger Clemens lawyer, Rusty Hardin believes that this is nothing but a filthy smear campaign which has been orchestrated by McNamee’s lawyers; he thinks that they will do anything to ruin the reputation of his client.
