Daytime Emmy Nominations 2008: Emmys on The View

Some time back the Daytime Emmy Nominations would appear on either ABC, CBS and NBC but since NBC had got out of the soap business they backed out a few years ago. This meant that the TV ratings plunged which meant that having the Emmys on the channel was not a viable option. Once that happened the Emmy’s then switched from ABC and CBS and ratings still dropped.

Just last year CBS pushed the show back to June and run for two hours, at one time the nominations used to be announced just like the Oscars but it just shows how things change. Our favorite stars have now taken to the stage to announce the Emmy Nominations 2008 on The View for the 35th Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards.

The Emmy winners will be announced at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood on 20th June, if you would like to watch the awards then you could take part in the action by purchasing a ticket which goes on sale from May 1, tickets can be purchased from Ticketmaster.com. As you would expect the show will no doubt be an over the top affair just like all the other awards ceremonies.
