It has been reported that Disney bosses are preparing to replace Miley Cyrus with a more clean-cut teen star. This is said to be because of the recent sexy images of her in June’s (08) edition of Vanity Fair magazine.
Marc Malkin has said that the Disney corporation is very unhappy with Miley and her bosses are already lining up a replacement and that is 15-year-old Selena Gomez, who has starred alongside Miley in the Hannah Montana TV show which she played the part of Mikayla a pop star who is a rival of Hannah Montana.
Marc said that “I’m told Disney executives are so worried about Cyrus’ recent controversies that, more than ever, they want to make Gomez an even bigger star“.
Selena Gomez was born the 22nd July 1992 and is an American actress and singer and is currently starring as Alex Russo on the Disney Channel Original Series, Wizards of Waverly Place.
Selena also has a career as a singer, and has recorded three songs for Walt Disney Records.
What do you make of all this?
If this turns out to be true then a lot of her fans are not going to be happy.
In other news Miley has said that ‘Hannah Montana Should Be More Like Sex & The City’.
Miley said that the hit Disney kids show should be more like Sex & The City because it’s her favourite programme. Now with an audience made up of girls aged between six and 14 my daughter being one of them I do not think that it’s a god idea do you?
It’s said that Miley is obsessed with the more grown up Sex & The City, which often contained racy love scenes, and has said that she hopes to bring some of the programme’s qualities to her own work.

I think she is a very nice girl. It was a wrong decision and that is all. Grown ups are the one with all of the malice. Kids forget and if your kid has not seen the pictures then why worry about it. She is going to okay and I think she is going to stay with the show.

I think she is, and I don’t want Miley to be fired from Disney, me and my father love Hannah Montana, the show and all, and it would be sad for them to make a new show with Selena. She is a great singer, but it isn’t for her. Plus, all the fans will be dissapointed, Disney’s watchers will drop, because of this. Sorry, I just cant see this happening. Mileys the queen B…and no matter how much the media wants it, shes stayin that way. Is Selena OFFICIALY gonna me a BILLIONAIRE by the end of THIS year like Miley?? Yeah…no, shes not. i really like how the media today doesn’t even include all the information. this article is the work of a lazy reporter who looked at the image, was quick to judge miley, and let that influence her writing. it says she thinks miley is going in a wrong direction, and only includes the facts that support that argument. writing for the media is meant to be objective, and if it’s an opinion piece, all the facts should be included so the reader can form their OWN opinion BEFORE considering the writers. on one hand it’s disappointing that all i want to do is write for a career, since i have to enter the work force when the media is so shitty; on the other, i’ll at least have a chance to make jackasses like this writer look bad in comparison when i do it right.

First of all, I know some tabloids say that Disney is gonna replace Miley with Selena but they shouldn’t! Miley is still a Disney star and there are still many fans and even little kids looking up to her, so if Disney is gonna replace her, they’ll be disappointing a lot of people, and there’s a big chance that the tv ratings will switch to Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network because Miley isn’t in Disney anymore. Either the people will think that she was fired or she quit because she heard the rumors that Disney is going to replace her, either of those things, people will hate Disney. My little sis Addi watches H.M ALL the time and I have to go in and turn it off. Miley Cyrus should definitly leave Disney Chanel. Most viewers of Hannah Montana hear about or see what Miley Cyrus is doing in her spare time and offset. Viewers look up to miley Cyrus, so if they see what she’s doing, the viewers will do whatever Miley does, and that is not a very good thing. Some of the things that Miley Cyrus does is what regular teenage girls do, but since Miley is in the spotlight, it is wy more noticeable.

As a parent of two girl 13 and 10…..who ADORE Miley…..I dont see anything wrong. She entertains the kids, she does good for charities, She is a child. I really believe she was put in a situation that got out of hand, and that the magazine took advantage of it.
How many kids do you know that actually READ vanity fair? C’mon folks?
My children came home and said “miley got fired from disney cuz of some pictures”. Well at least they were not like that girl from High School Musical. She WAS nude….and emailing them to a boyfriend no less. Miley will be fine. She’s a money maker and the cash will win over some silly photos. As long as parents dont rush out and buy the mag. just to “show” their children, “look what she did”….then this will blow over like so much wind. Heck, stars as big a Demi Moore have been caught in compromising positions. The media takes any chance they can get for a scandle. Vanity Fair took this one. Dolled her up like a whore and made it look “artistic” for the family…..then twisted it for their sales and ratings. Shame on them…..not on a defenseless child.

Miley Cyrus made this role! For me, there will only be only one Hannah Montana, and that’s Miley Cyrus. I think this entire thing has been blown far out of proportion! Besides, whatever happened to forgiveness? From “Nobody’s Perfect”: “Everybody makes mistakes”, right? I’m very upset about the possibility that there will be a change, and it’s just not fair or right. Let’s keep the person who made the role in the role: Miley Cyrus. There can be no other!

Yes there was lots of controversy about it but they’re leaving her as Gabriella Montez in HSM 3 so all Miley did was pose in a magazine with her bare back to the camera!! Let Miley stay! She didn’t do anything wrong. She may have shown her bra a bit, but Vanessa Hudgens was completely nude and she’s still going to be in High School Musical 3. So just let her stay. I think Selena would be much better then Hannah Montana. Selena is a much better role-model then Hannah Montana.
