Just days after rumors Roger Clemens and Mindy McCready were having an affair more rumors have now come to light that the pitcher has had a relationship with Paulette Dean Daly, the ex-wife of golfer John Daily. Clemens who is still married and has four children would arrange for Paulette Dean Daily to go on trips to Anaheim Stadium so that she could watch him play.
There are also allegations that the two would spend some time together in Palm Springs, California. Some believe that the pair had met while at a Bob Hope Chrysler Classic Golf Tournament. Paulette Dean Daly told the Daily News “Yeah, I’ve known Roger quite a while and we are friends.” However; she did not elaborate on what the nature of their relationship was, but she did not deny it either.
Daily News then decided to ask her if she and Clemens were romantically involved in which she answered “You know what? I’m really uncomfortable talking about this. I’m just going to have to say ‘no comment.” The Daily News has stated that their affair did begin after Paulette Dean Daly’ marriage to John Daly had ended.
This is yet another blow for Roger Clemens as he has already denied that he has had a relationship with Mindy McCready, and that he is pursuing a defamation suit against Brian McNamee his former trainer as he accused him of taking performance-enhancing drugs.
