They have enough money between them, so I am sure getting dollars from a magazine was not an issue. Mariah Carey is one of the world’s top selling recording artists and got divorced in 1998 from Tommy Mottola. Nick Cannon has never been married before; he recently performed at the 4th Annual VH1 Hip Hop Honors event in New York. This is a couple that are big names in the music business, but as with many celebrity marriages, the real test is how they handle the media which will most certainly put pressure on their marriage over the coming months and years.
It was reported that Mariah Carey married rap singer and actor Nick Cannon in the Bahamas, although it was no secret to close friends and family who attended the ceremony at Mariah Carey’s house in Eleuthera. With the kind of money they have you can expect some nice wedding rings getting exchanged, we have heard that Nick gave Mariah a $2.5 million ring that he had designed just for her…nice.
