Last week photos of Miley Cyrus appeared across the net of her semi naked, these photos were taken by Annie Leibovitz’s for Vanity Fair magazine. Ever since these photos appeared Miley has expressed regret and embarrassment, and Disney have said that 15-year-old Miley aka Hannah Montana had been manipulated.
The reason that these photos have cause such a stir is the fact that she is only 15 years old and that she is supposed to be a role model for her followers which are as young as 6.
Erik DeSando who is the president of BE Productions and a talent agent for children and teens has said that “When she turns 17, the Disney machine will essentially throw Miley away, replacing her with another great young singer who is waiting in the wings, She’s got to think about that transition to the next phase.”
It has been said that Miley should be aiming for TV and movie roles. Yes she has made it big with Hannah Montana but as Miley said the other day she would like to see it a bit more like Sex and the City which is one of her favourite shows at the moment, so maybe Hannah Montana is no longer for her anymore.
Toni Casala, president of Children in Film which is a social networking site for parents of Hollywood talent said that “This type of photograph came two years too soon; I’m shocked no one at the shoot thought those poses were inappropriate for someone her age.” I think that we are all shocked that her parents who were on set at the time thought that these images were ok.
What do you think is her time up as Hannah Montana?
Has the Hannah Montana star been manipulated or not?

The one photo I saw on the web was beautifully shot by Annie Leibovitz. She’s old enough to know what she’s doing, I’m sure has a say in what gets released. A publicity stunt perhaps, if it’s shot in good taste and your apologizing because your afraid your fans parents will judge you is what I find a bit strange.

my child is 8 and all she can talk about is hannah. people should demand that they discontinue broadcast her shows. from yesterday when i read about it on mweb i’ve decided my child woundn’t be watching her shows anymore.
it’s a pity her parents had nothing to say about everything thats going on.

Hey
I think miley cyrus should stay on Hannah Montana as long as she can because she is so much like her character and she plays her so well. I remember when a character left my favourite show and got replaced by someone else she couldn’t act her out as good and to me she was a completley different character. And also i wont like hannah montana if the actors are replaced because it just wont be the same.
