EastEnders wins British Soap Awards: beats Coronation Street & Emmerdale

It was the biggest night on the soap calendar in London at the weekend with EastEnders winning best soap beating Coronation Street, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Doctors.

Emmerdale Star Roxanne Pallett had a bit of a frock faux pas after her dress strap snapping but after a helping hand from a fan she was soon on her way down the red carpet.

Hollyoaks star Roxanne McKee walked away with the sexiest female gong for the second year in a row and Corrie star Rob James Collier also took home the sexiest male gong for the second time.
