Elvis’s daughter, Lisa Marie Presley gets fat apology from Daily Mail

The Daily Mail has been forced to apologize to Lisa Marie Presley, as the tabloid claimed that she was pursuing a poor diet and was getting as fat as her late father Elvis Presley, Lisa Marie is now pregnant with her third child. In that same article The Daily Mail has a picture of Lisa with no makeup on and was just casually dressed, while eating with friends. One quote in the article actually said she was “growing just like her dad.”
Lisa Marie Presley’s legal rep had this to say “My client is deeply upset and offended by this article, especially as it was widely published just as she and her family were meant to be celebrating her happy news.” People Magazine reported that Lisa Marie’s lawyers have now sued for libel, which is when the Daily Mail printed an apology which read “On March 4 we published a photograph of Lisa Marie Presley while she was dining with friends. We suggested she might have an unhealthy appetite similar to her late father. We now accept that the suggestion is untrue and apologize to Ms. Presley for any distress caused.”
Lisa Maria was also upset as the news of her pregnancy was made public before she had the chance to tell people. It is great to see someone taking on a newspaper and getting a great result at the end of it.

Especially when it boosts it’s circulation figures by giving away FREE more than a million copies of the movie, “Loving You”…….. starring Elvis Presley. That ultra sexy guy with the extraordinary beautiful and versatile voice.
lisa is not fat at all and she knows better than to grow up like her dad. every1 gets a lil chubby when they have children and thats excatly what is happening to her thakn
Well done Lisa on getting the Mail to eat its words – it has got fat on articles about your dad both good and bad as well as articles about you – I hope it is followed by a big fat compensation cheque to your fav charity. I cannot stand stories in the papers when they personally attack individuals – they seem to think that just because a person is a celebrity they are devoid of feelings – comments like those written by the Mail are incredlibly hurtful for anyone to hear – I also despise the fact that although Elvis Presley had many many attributes and was an extremely talented individual the only ‘original’ comment the Mail can come up with is to comment about his weight – how lame is that – get over it – I only wish that Lisa’s dad had had Lisa’s strength and fought the b*****ds too.
haha, I like how the author of this article implicates her obese appearance with the the suggestive title, as though not satisfied with the events of the forced apology.
