France honor Kylie Minogue for contribution to French culture

Kylie Minogue who has to be one of the best exports from Australia has now picked up the Chevalier dans l’ordre des Arts et Lettres which is one of France’s top cultural awards. The award translates into Knight of Arts and Letters, she has received the award because of the cultural pleasure that she has given to the people of France.
An official from the French Culture Ministry said “Princess of pop, uncontested queen of the dance floors, you are a sort of Midas of the international music scene who turns everything she touches into gold, from records to micro-shorts.” Christine Albanel is the French Culture Minister presented Kylie with the award and said “Even if it isn’t the part of your anatomy which is the most often praised by the media, you have a big heart.”
Kylie Minogue received the award just a day before she kicks of her world tour for her album “X.” Albanel has also praised Kylie for her courage when she was battling with breast cancer. When Kylie accepted the award she gave a little speech in French saying “This is an exceptional moment for me,” she also added in English about Paris “I fell in love, and it’s a love affair that continues to blossom like an eternal spring.”
