There is so much to do in the new GTA IV game from RockStar however: some of the areas that we have not paid much attention to are the TV programs within the game. A couple of stars have lent their voices to the game; one is the British comedian Ricky Gervais while the other is Wil Wheaton. Now I know that you have two things on your mind, the first is “I have not heard him yet,” and the second is “Why Wil Wheaton.”
I have also asked myself that question; there must have been a huge list of people wanting to add their voice to the game, unless the creators of the game were huge Star Trek fans. Wil Wheaton has used his voice in a number of Grand Theft Auto games as well as Ghost Recon, and hates it when people start going on about how bad games are and the damage that they are doing to our society.
Wheaton says on his blog “With GTA IV coming out tomorrow, the usual gang of idiots are up in arms about how this game will lead to the end of civilization as we know it, dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria, etc. As I said in my PAX keynote, this sort of moralistic chest-thumping makes me a little stabby.”
The guy has come a long way since his days in Star Trek: The Next Generation, but one thing is sure, he was clever in the program and he certainly seems to have his head screwed on in the real world as well.
