As we know Pete Doherty was realised from Jail yesterday after serving just 29 days of a 14 week sentence. As you can imagine this has made anti-drug campaigners mad.
John O’Connor who is an Ex-Flying Squad chief said that “They should have made an example of him, not let him go.”
Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones who is a Tory candidate for nearby Chippenham, said that “It sends the wrong message that he is released early.”
Pete’s ex-girlfriend Lisa Moorish has apparently told Pete that he has to buy her a home or she will not let him see their five year old son Astile. I personally would not let him see his son until he was off drugs but that’s me.
So not only is Pete setting a bad example for his son he is also setting a bad example to teenagers out there.
What do you think should Pete have served his whole sentence or do you agree with his early release?
In other news Pete has announced a new date for his headline solo at London’s Royal Albert Hall. Original tickets for the gig are still valid for the new date.
Pete will also be playing with his band Babyshambles at London’s Kentish Town Forum on the 13th May.
