Kobe Bryant has picked up his first NBA MVP award and his wife Vanessa was there to help the Los Angeles Lakers player celebrate. The veteran NBA player has now been playing in the league for 11 years and in that time has totaled 1,105 points. It does seem strange that it has taken all this time for the guard to receive the MVP award, but it is better late than never.
The basketball player has averaged 28.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 5.4 assists each game this season, Bryant said “This is a beautiful day, a special day for me,” he also added “I‘m just deeply, deeply honoured. This is a team award, not an individual award. This gets done because we all do it as a unit and I can’t thank these guys enough.”
This was such a special occasion for Kobe Bryant which is why his wife Vanessa, as well as his two daughters Gianna and Natalia was there to share in his joy. Kobe seemed a little lost for words when receiving the award, however he did say how honored and a blessing it was for him to be there to receive the award. He seemed very humbled and thanked the rest of the players saying that he would not have been able to win without the help and support from them.
