Papa Johns 23 Cent Pizza: Sorry Cleveland and Cavaliers LeBron James

Papa Johns has been in the news today a few times for different reasons, first up with have the Papa Johns 23 Cent Pizza, that’s right you heard me right. If you’re lucky enough to live in Cleveland, then today you get one topping on a large pizza for just 23 cents. The reason Papa Johns is doing this deal is to say sorry to the people of Cleveland and Cavaliers, the apology is for making T-shirts with LeBron James number 23 on them and also under the number was the word “crybaby”, this may have been funny to some people, but not LeBron James, the Cavaliers or Cleveland.

Papa John’s are not stopping there, as we are also hearing that they will donate $10,000 to the Cavaliers Youth Fund. Now this is a nice token from Papa John’s, but I am sure they can afford it considering their other news today of selling more than $1 billion in online pizza sales. That’s right, in the last 7 years, Papa John’s have sold more than a billion dollars of Pizza online and that’s why their cooks can be busy making pizza, but have the phones dead quiet.

Papa John’s are the third largest Pizza restaurant in the U.S. and they claim that it will only take them another 3 years to make another billion in online pizza sales. Seven years ago, the companies’ sales totaled $20.4 million and that’s compared to $400 million in 2007. It looks like the U.S. love their pizza.
