Brad Pitt in Marvel’s Thor Movie: Is he the right choice?

Marvel has some of the hottest movies being released now and in the near future, now in cinemas we have the very popular Iron Man then we have the soon to be released The Incredible Hulk as well as Captain America. Now one of their other heroes is going to the big screen, and that is Thor, and a number of actors have been linked to playing the Norse God of Thunder. The latest rumor from Latino Review, reports that Brad Pitt is on the short list to play the title character however; no contracts have been signed but Marvel would like a big star to play Thor, and who bigger than Pitt.

I Am Legend screenwriter Mark Protosevich has just finished writing the new draft for the screenplay for the Thor movie, Marvel are hard at work trying to trim the budget a little. The original setting for the Thor movie was going to be set in the time of the Vikings however; it seems as if this would not work as Marvel wants to try and bring all of their superheros together for their upcoming movie Avengers, which is due to hit the big screen in 2011.

Hopefully we will get to see Thor a little sooner as it is thought that Thor will make an appearance in Iron Man 2.

So if the rumor is true, has Marvel made the right choice with Brad Pitt playing Thor?
