To all those who loved and knew Dottie Rambo I extended by sincere sympathy. I began singing Dottie’s songs at the age of seventeen when I joined my first gospel group, The Blueridge Gospel Singers. The first song I sang on air was ; ” If That Isn’t Love”. It became one of my all time favorites. As a songwriter of gospel music, musician and singer, I can say with a heavy heart that Dottie will be greatly missed. My prayers go out to those in her family as well as Gospel Music Singers all around the world who have recorded or performed her songs. She will be greatly missed. The angels in heaven are rejoiceing as one of their sweetest voices now joins them.
Signed with a tear;

When I was 6 my parents bought me a recod player. We already had tons of Rambo albums so my Saturdays were filled with lying on my bedroom floor and listening and singing along.
At 40, I have been fortunate enough to travel acoss the US and Europe, singing in venues both large and small. I have recorded as a solo artist and as a member of both reginally and nationally known groups. I never step behind a mic that I do not think about where I began. Lying on the floor, singing at the top of my lungs, listening and learning from Dottie Rambo.
I have always said that if I could spend a day with anyone in the world it would be Dottie. I never had that opportunity, however, I was no less touched by ner talent, her spirit, and her honesty.
